Praia do Morro Branco
Morro Branco is a Brazilian beach located in the city of Beberibe in the state of Ceará. To reach it from Fortaleza, visitors will have to drive about 1.5 hours, covering about 90km (56 miles). For those who don’t like to drive, there are many options for buses from Fortaleza to Beberibe. The name of the bus station in Fortaleza is Terminal Rodoviário Eng. João Thomé, and it is located at Av. Borges de Melo, 1630, Neighborhood of Fátima.
Among the attractions of the beach are the Morro Branco Labyrinth, formed by erosion on the cliffs, and the dunes. Many people risk going up to the lighthouse, especially at dusk, because the sunset is beautiful. There are still vacation homes, hotel chains, jangadas port and craft fair.
Tracoá
Near the low town there is still a small village, called Tracoá, that is located behind the hills, formed mainly by fishermen.
Gama Family
The first inhabitant of Morro Branco was a fisherman named Luís Gama, coming from Aracati. It was fixed in the region that today is the white hill, and founded the town. This explains why most of the inhabitants of Morro Branco have the surname “Gama”.

- In this beach were recorded the novels Final Feliz, Terra do Sol and Tropicaliente, besides the films Bocage, The Triumph of Love, A Life of Passion, O Noviço Rebelde, Bella Donna and the TV series Malhação
