How to confirm a document or message

If you received a contract, invoice, email, message or payment request claiming that Oliveira Lawyers is involved, contact us directly to confirm whether it came from our firm or accurately describes our role.

Use the contact details on our official website, oliveiralawyers.com, or email [email protected]. Start a new communication using those independently obtained details rather than replying through the document or message you are checking.

If you are unsure, pause before sending money, signing documents or sharing personal or financial information. A logo, stamp, signature image or familiar sender name alone does not confirm that our firm issued or approved a document.

The dated notices below concern third-party materials that used our identity without authorization. Oliveira Lawyers did not issue or approve those materials and was not acting in the transactions described.

These examples are not a complete list. Different names, documents or transaction types may be used. An itemโ€™s absence from this page does not confirm its authenticity.

Reported examples of unauthorized use

The dates below identify the original notices. They do not establish whether a sender, domain or account remains active. Names and identifiers are provided to help recipients recognize the reported materials; a name appearing in a document does not establish that the real business or person created or sent it.

August 2025: sugar-sale contract

In August 2025, a document titled โ€œSales Purchase Agreement (White Refined Cane Sugar IC45)โ€ was presented to an importโ€“export company. It used the Oliveira Lawyers logo and a version of our managing partnerโ€™s signature without authorization, and included a purported notary seal. Oliveira Lawyers did not issue or approve this document and did not represent the named parties, GRM Agrรญcola Ltda. and Hainan Hairong Trading Co., in this transaction.

Payment terms appearing in the reported August document

These terms are reproduced to help identify the reported document, not as payment instructions. Similar terms in another document do not establish authenticity or fraud.

Instalment Amount Trigger
Deposit USD 990 000 (5 %) 48 h after signing
2nd payment USD 2 970 000 (15 %) When shipping docs issued at Santos port
3rd payment USD 15 840 000 (80 %) On โ€œdeliveryโ€ at Shenzhen, China

Other identifying details described in the original notice: 50 000 MT; Santos, Brazil; Shenzhen, China; a deposit requested within 48 hours.

September 4, 2025: additional reported contact and payment details

The September 4, 2025 update recorded the following details in communications claiming an association with Oliveira Lawyers. Our firm was not involved in those communications or the transaction they described.

If these details appear in materials claiming our involvement, contact us independently before relying on that claim.

+55 21 3500-8128 (compact form: +552135008128)

Account name shown: AGROINDUSTRIAL SOL LTDA
Bank named: Chase Bank, United States

Listing these details does not establish that the named bank or a legitimate business with the same name participated in the communications. A bank code alone does not identify an unauthorized transaction.

AGROINDUSTRIAL SOL LTDA

Checking a document that contains a notary stamp

If a document contains a purported notary stamp, obtain the notary officeโ€™s contact details independently from an official registry or directory and ask the office to verify the act. Do not rely only on a QR code or telephone number printed on the document.

Contacting Oliveira Lawyers about a reported document

For verification, contact [email protected] or use the Contact page on our official website.

Include the senderโ€™s name, email address or telephone number, the date received and the claim made about our firm. Keep the original message and document. Ask our team how to provide any files; do not send passwords, verification codes or unrelated sensitive information.

Use contact details you obtained from oliveiralawyers.com or an established contact at our firm. This also applies if the message appears to come from a familiar address or includes a signed engagement letter or payment-platform link.

Checking a document that is not listed here

You can ask us to verify a document or claimed association even if it involves a different business, service, country or type of transaction. The examples on this page are not an approval list, and our silence or lack of an immediate response should not be treated as confirmation.

If you suspect an impersonation attempt

  • Pause. Do not send money or information while you are checking an unexpected request.
  • Preserve the evidence. Keep the original messages, document and payment records; avoid opening unfamiliar links or attachments.
  • Contact [email protected] or use our official Contact page to check any claim involving our firm.
  • Contact your bank or payment provider immediately if you have already sent funds. Do not wait for our response before asking whether the payment can be stopped or recalled.
  • Report suspected fraud to the appropriate police or reporting authority in your jurisdiction.

Reporting resources

In the United States, internet-enabled fraud can be reported through the FBIโ€™s Internet Crime Complaint Center at https://www.ic3.gov/. Elsewhere, use the official police or cybercrime reporting service for your jurisdiction.
